Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actor born January 31, 1974. She is best known as Bo from the Showcase television show Lost Girl. Silk is an actor from Canada who was born in Fredericton New Brunswick. Ilkay and Peter Silk both were professors. Ilkay was also a writer, director and producer. She is director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers some of her earliest memories of existence, such as attending rehearsals and watching of stage plays. Silk was featured in many commercials as just a child. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Arts at St. Thomas University. The early stage work she did included at the very least two productions for Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto in November 1999, to Los Angeles California to pursue her acting career. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an acting workshop located in Los Angeles, in 2007. The couple got engaged in 2009 and married at a civil wedding ceremony in December of the same year. In Fredericton on the 10th of April in 2011, they renewed vows, following Silk's decision to convert to Judaism. Silk was blessed with a son that was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th 2013. Her son Levi Aaron was born on the 13th of May in 2016. Silk's TV work has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland in which she was awarded an Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009, she got the lead role as Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television show Lost Girl. Silk became pregnant during production of the third season finale episode. The news was announced to viewers of the show in a Showcase show's pre-show Season Three special on January 6th, 2013. Silk posted on Twitter on 20 June 2013, that production had begun on Season 4. In June of 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the beginning of production for Season 4 of the show. CNN Cable News Network named Bo, along with Lauren Zoie Palmer, as the same-sex couple in Lost Girl to be one of their top TV Couples of All Time. E! Magazine declared the couple as one of the Top TV Couples of 2013. Entertainment Television. Due to the popularity of the show, Silk has earned a significant internet following via social media.
